I would like to take this opportunity to offer my sincere thanks to the donors, board of directors, members, program participants, volunteers and staff, who have supported the YMCA of Northern Rock County. This Y has been serving the Janesville and surrounding communities for nearly 130 years and that is something to be proud of! In my short time here as your new CEO, I have seen how these Y’s are a valuable community asset.

I have been blessed to have spent more than 20 years serving the YMCA movement; most of that time at the Oconomowoc and Watertown YMCA’s. I have been fortunate to wear many Y hats over the years, but the one thing that had not changed over the years is my love for the Y’s mission. Which is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” This quote from Henry Ford echoes our YMCA promise. We are joined together by a shared commitment to nurture the potential of kids, promote healthy living and foster a sense of social responsibility. I believe the Y is so much more than a building or a gym and swim. I have seen this organization impact lives with its reach in over 10,000 neighborhoods across the Nation. I can’t wait to see what the YMCA of Northern Rock County will do “together” for these communities!

I have really enjoyed getting to know many individuals, at both locations, through our CEO Meet and Greets. If you were unable to attend, I invite you in for a tour or simply come in and visit me!

With gratitude,

Angie Bolson
